Gardiner's Blend
A tea with a story steeped in local history. Named for Dr. Gardiner, a Victorian physician who made his home in Seeley’s Bay in 1897, this blend honors both his legacy and the enduring charm of the village. In anticipation of his marriage that same year, Dr. Gardiner commissioned architect and builder Arthur Ellis of Kingston to
construct this large brick house, completed in the fall of 1897.
The home featured a separate side entrance—now the doorway to our cozy chocolate shop—that once led to his consulting room*.
This thoughtfully crafted blend reflects the spirit of its namesake: bold, refined, and quietly elegant. Full-bodied Assam offers a rich base with notes of jammy malt and toast, while tippy-leaf Darjeeling brings a muscatel brightness. A soft infusion of organic rose buds from Egypt adds a soothing floral finish, making each cup a gentle
nod to history and home.
